Gracie's Big week

Gracie has had a big week since turning the big five months last Thursday. She nows eats in her high chair, still messy but much better than before. If you have seen her eat then you know what I mean. What an intense girl she is when it comes to food.
Then today, Wednesday, she had her Dr's appt. She received five immunizations, four of them by needle. Ouchie!!!! You can see the after effects by the band aids on her chubby little thighs. She is now 16lbs 4oz and 26 inches long. 75th percentile so way to grow Gracie! She is very advaced with her development according to the doc so dads still hopeful for that scholorship :)
Last but certainly not least, she can sit by herself very well now. She rolls over from her back to her tummy also. What a little smarty pants. She does tummy time like a champ and can move her self in a circle and scoot backwards at times. No crawling yet thank goodness.

Relapse rocks!

Katie and Joel having a grand time. Last saturday night we went to the Break room on Plainfield to see our cousins boyfriend Tim and his band Relapse. We truly had a great time and it was my first real "night out" since Gracie was born. We were out till almost 1am.Woah!
This pic is Austin and Claire and myself. What a blast we had. Relapse was great and the band before them Rayburn was great too.

Ya-hoo!!!!!

Well it's about time! Jen and I will soon be living in the same state. I am so thrilled I can hardly even believe it but Jen and her hubby Dan are moving home to Ann Arbor in July. So super soon and I can hardly contain myself. She will be nine months preggo and I will be able to spend time with her when the babe is born. I just don't know what to say or do. What an exciting time knowing that our babies will grow up near each other. We will be able to visit often for the weekend and Gracie and I can visit during the week when I don't work because Jen will be home with her babe. What fun we will have!!!!!!!! Love you Jen

Crazy Gracie!

What a nut! Graice has now taken to feeding herself. She gets so excited when she sees her bottle. It is so funny to watch her reach out and grab it from you, then she proceeds to clutch it so tightly her knuckles turn white. She really loves her bottle!!!!Gracie doing the bottle levitation trick for Gramma.
Eating is definitley one of my favorite things to do. I wouldn't give it up for anything. Sometimes my furry friends help with the balancing though.

Daddy Carlson turned the BIG 5-0!

We had a fantastic party for my daddy's 50th birthday party on Sunday. We had a Pig Roast. If you have never done it you should. It is oh so cool! Look at that smoked pig in the picture. EEEEEWWWWWWW! Gross huh? Well need I say that the ugly piggy tasted oh so delicious.
Dad thought so too. Crazy guy! We love you daddy and are greatful we finally had the chance to pull off a fun party to celebrate you and how much we love you. We had around 75 people that came to show how great he is and what fun we had.
The grandpa chillin with his family when the fun started to wind down a bit and he was able to relax. If you know dad then you know how he loves to chat it up. What a lot of chatting he did. Thanks for all the fun years daddy-o.

Catts in town

So much fun with the Catts in town.... Leanne and Kristi Catt are just so frickin cute aren't they?
Oh wait, then there is me and the cutie pie Gracie Rae with Kristi Catt. Are we cuter?? No way Jose.
Then on Sunday we had the Pig Roast for my dads 50th. What fun we had and Gracie just loved playing with Trav. It has been documented that Travis is great with kiddos and now he should be a daddy!!!!!

Dedicated to God

So May 13th, 2007 was a very special day in our house. It was my first mother's day, my dad's 50th birthday, and the day we chose to dedicate our beautiful daughter to God. We believe that she is a gift we have been entitled to raise up in His image and that although we love her more than anything she is not ours, she belongs to God. We are committing to raise her in a Christian home and teaching her to the best of our ability to love and serve her Lord.
God bless you Gracie as you grow to know and love your Lord and bring Him all the glory of your life. We love you more than life and praise God for the gift of you.

A day in Pinkney, MI

My best friend Jen had a baby shower this weekend in Pinkney. We went to celebrate her and help shower her with love and support, oh yeah gifts too. This pic is her with Gracie and her six month preggo belly. How cute is she?
We had a great time visiting with her and her family. We always do though. I am so bummed that she lives so far and I will miss the birth but we should see them about a month after the babe is born. So that will be great.
Gracie had lots of fun playing with Gramma Carlson and she did such a good job of occupying Gracie so I could visit with Jen better. Thanks Gramma, I love you bunches!!!

Fun at the park!

On Tuesday I watch Maddie for the day and we always have so much fun. Kelli watches Trey and Jayden on Tuesdays also, so we decided it would be fun to take them to Rockford and to play at the park. Fun it was, crazy but very cool. Kelli and I got a taste of what it is like when you are outnumbered by small children.
Jonah and Maddie had a lbast on the swings. They kept asking to swing "one more time". What a cute littel nephew and niece I have.
Gracie enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather, she also enjoyed watching the other kids play for a while but then it was nap time. She pulled her sun hat over her eyes and kicked her feet up and went to sleep. What a cute girl!

JUMPEROO!!!!

This is totally my new favorite toy. This jumperoo as they call it is really the coolest invention. I have always wanted to be able to move around with very little restrictions, but because mom and dad had to hold on to me and try not to drop me it was just not possible. Now, I can jump and spin and run in place and no one can stop me. WooHoo! I am really enjoying the freedom. Mom says I am growing up too fast but whatever. I can't be a baby forever. I am even able to sit up by myself for a few seconds at a time. I love growing up!
