Post Holiday wrap-up

So now that the holidays are over I really need to post a wrap-up. So sorry that I haven't posted in so long. Too much going on and not enough time to process. You know the story. Well Christmas was lovely this year. Christmas eve night was spent for the last time at G&G Snellinks home with all the Snellink side of the family. It was great to see everyone and yet bittersweet that it's the last holiday at their home. The are putting it on the market this spring and moving into Jamie and Glorias house. What fun to see them more often. The Christmas day we went to Calvary with Tom, Lauren and Maddie for the morning service. How beautiful it was and Maddie was such a good girl. The on for brunch at mom and dad Hosfords for Souffle and gifts with the immediate family and Gram Hosford. Very nice time and man were we spoiled rotten. So fun to watch Maddie on her first Christmas. Then the afternoon and evening was spent back at our house for Christmas with the Carlsons. Sean and Kelli , and mom and dad came for a great dinner, gifts and games. We played Cranium, the girls won for sure on that one. Great holiday.

Oh Boy, or Girl??!!

The countdown is on, T minus about three weeks. We will be and Aunt and Uncle again. What a blessing!! Can't wait. This is the latest picture of Sean and Kelli's "lump" (as Grandma calls it). Soon we will meet baby and expose it to this crazy world. Good thing it's parents are wonderful and so excited. Well no need to waste words, see for yourself.

Welcome home Segards

Andy and Sadie are home for the Holidays. What a treat to get to spend some quality time with them. All the friends got together tonight to see them. They are currently living in Marathon Key, Florida and working in full time ministry with Student to Student (STS) which is a youth outreach to bring Gods message to them. What a task they have and not without many set backs ie. Hurricanes and such. We thank you Andy, Sadie and of course Lucy Bean for the wonderful work you do. You are thought of and prayed for often.

A Friendly Christmas

Well now that the holiday week is upon us I am posting about the treasure of my friends. It has been such a gift from God this week to have friends around. Aubrey home from Korea, Rhianon home from California, Andy and Sadie home from Florida Keys, and my best friend Jen home from St Louis. I have such a scattered group and I am sure that is Gods way of blessing the world because my friends are all true treasures and the world needs them more badly than I. I am embracing the fact that I have these treasures in my life in many different degrees. Some closer friends than others but all truly special and loved by me. I am so greatful that they remain in my life and then a few times throughout the year we are able to be in each others presence as well. What a gift. I will miss Nick and Alyssa dearly(in Washington state), as well as Tamara and Jamin(in China). However, we are together in spirit as usual. I love you friends.

Holy Cow, What a cutie!!!!

She is absolutely our favorite (oh and only) neice in the whole world. Can you blame us? This is a picture taken by the lovely Mrs Melissa Burkholder when Maddie was four months. She gets more beautiful every day. What a blessing. We love you lots Maddie Poo!

Five weeks and counting

Kelli and Sean will be parents in just a few short weeks. Kelli is nesting and getting their home ready for the new addition and also taking advantage of her last few moments of "me time". She works hard and now needs to rest hard. Christmas is almost here and what a gift, a new baby in the family.

Welcome home Aubrey!!

My dear dear friend Aubrey is home form Korea for a few weeks. What a treat. I was able to spend the day with her in Rockford. We have so many memories in this cute town of mine and she was delighted to come back and see it all again. We shopped and had lunch at Arnies and just shared the treasure of a friendship that we have. God has truly blessed me with great friends, it's just the proximity that sucks.

Lakers: 2005 National Champs!!!

Go Lakers!!! National champs once again. Congrats to Coach Martin. Dan and his dad went to Alabama to cheer on the lakers. They rode in the motor home on Wednesday night and got there early on Thursday. I believe they did party just a little bit. Dan enjoyed the time spent as a fan down in Florence. His previous trips as a player weren't quite as fun and stress free. Another championship for the now world renowned lakers. What a legacy Dan's team started.

Bama Bound

Go Lakers!!! They won, so sorry to East Stroudsberg. We look forward to the match up of Northwest Missouri State vs. The Lakers at 3pm on Sat. the 10th of Dec. in Florence, AL. Fire the grill at Cajuns and warm up the Motor Home. The boys are heading back to Bama. Dan will be leaving with the Motor Home crew on Wednesday night. What a good time to go and not be a player this time. It will be his first time as a fan. Have fun boys, oh and be good!!!
