Grandpas Memorial Service

Well the time is here, as sad as it is. We are having a memorial service to honor the life and legacy of my grandfather Wesley Arthur Carlson. The service will be held at Rockford Baptist Church on Sunday the 26th of March at 3:00pm. It will a time to see video of his life, hear stories about him from three of his sons and many grandchildren, and fellowship with others who loved him as dearly as we did. Feel free to join our family at the service if you would like. We would love to see you and share the memories of such an amazing man. A treasure lost but never forgotten.

Sadie the puggle!

Sadie the puggle is growing up too. She is full of shananigans and keeps Sara very busy but how can you not just love that little face.

Amanda Soddy

Amanda is now three weeks old and doing very well. She has gone through a lot in these three weeks and will continue to jump many hurdles. She is getting food through a feedinbg tube now, her mom and dad got to hold her, and she had a heart surgery this past week. She is such a little blessing to see how God is in control of life this early on. Please continue to pray for their family as they go through this experience with grace and peace. Praise also that she is now off the ventilator and breathing on her own. God bless the Soddy family!

Grandpa goes home!!

Praise the Lord, Grandpa Carlson has finally gone to meet him. His pain and earthly life are over and he is sitting at the right hand of God. He was a man who lived for God and his Faith and that was evident in everything he did. His whole life was ministry and so for him the words Paul wrote in Philippians 1:21- "For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." are truth. We on earth are left to feel the loss of such a wonderful man.He will be missed as a man, a father, a grandfather, a friend, a mentor, a pastor, a missionary, and so many other roles he played throughout his life. He and my grandmother, who preceded him into heaven, have left behind an incredible legacy. I am sure unmatched by most. Grandpa Wes lived to welcome the 25th great-grandchild in his legacy, our nephew Jonah Wesley Carlson. What a life he lived and we will miss him dearly. We look forward to the day we will dance again with them in heaven. Please pray for our family in this time of loss as God grants us peace and comfort. Thanks so much!
