Praise the Lord, Grandpa Carlson has finally gone to meet him. His pain and earthly life are over and he is sitting at the right hand of God. He was a man who lived for God and his Faith and that was evident in everything he did. His whole life was ministry and so for him the words Paul wrote in Philippians 1:21- "For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." are truth. We on earth are left to feel the loss of such a wonderful man.He will be missed as a man, a father, a grandfather, a friend, a mentor, a pastor, a missionary, and so many other roles he played throughout his life. He and my grandmother, who preceded him into heaven, have left behind an incredible legacy. I am sure unmatched by most. Grandpa Wes lived to welcome the 25th great-grandchild in his legacy, our nephew Jonah Wesley Carlson. What a life he lived and we will miss him dearly. We look forward to the day we will dance again with them in heaven. Please pray for our family in this time of loss as God grants us peace and comfort. Thanks so much!

Pray for amanda!!
Please pray for Amanda Soddy. She is the daughter of one of Dan's coworkers, Meredith Riley Soddy. She was born prematurely at about 24 weeks. The picture above is of her and her moms hand. She is holding her own at this stage and growing every day. Please pray for her health and her parents peace and comfort at this time. It will be a long journey and lots of trials ahead for them all and they would appreciate all the prayers possible. Thanks!! Will update as time goes on.

Mom and Dad Hosford
I just found this gorgeous picture of the rents at Dads award ceremony this fall. I didn't post it then but had to now. Aren't they fabulous? Yeah I know, the genes in this fam are red hot. Oh well at least our future children have something going for them :) Love you Mom and Dad. You are such a shining example for us. Your marriage of 30 years and the role you play in all of our lives is incredible. Know that you are truly loved!!

Fabulous friends
As I sit here in Michigan dreaming of vacation somewhere warm I remember what a lovely time we had this time last year with the Segards in Marathon Key, FL. This pic is from the ladies night out in the Keys. We went to a restaurant on Islamorada and I forget its name but the views were spectacular of the ocean and the company was splendid. Dinner was delightful and this is a memory I will not soon forget. Thanks ladies for a lovely night and memories that keep me warm in snowy MI.
